Krkonoše Mountains
- Janské Lázně
Janské Lázně is the only spa on the Czech side of the Krkonoše Mountains. The tranquil mountain spa town with an interesting history lies at the foot of Černá hora mountain. Černohorský Expres cabin lift leads directly from our apartments to the top of the mountain. Thanks to a wide range of sports activities - modern cableways, lifts, cross-country skiing tracks, cycling trails, tree-trail, rope center, toboggan run and many others, the town has become a top sports and recreation center with a perfect starting point for the highest Czech mountains, winter for skiers and summer for cyclists and hikers.
Janské Lázně will be pleased not only by athletes and mountain lovers, but also by its splendid spa atmosphere, healing springs and procedures will satisfy even demanding spa guests. Nowadays, the spa focuses mainly on locomotive and respiratory diseases. In addition to treatment programs, they also offer healing and reconditioning stays. There are several tens of springs, the heart of the spa is Art Nouveau colonnade with a nearby statue of Krakonoš.

Winter
SkiResort ČERNÁ HORA - PEC is the largest ski resort in the Czech Republic, it offers 44 km of ski slopes and ski passes for 1 ski pass. In addition to the longest, up to three km slopes, you can also find children's small ski slopes, attractive funline funline tracks with tilted bends and a tunnel, track with a giant slalom and downhill track, ski alpine tours.
The toboggans can take advantage of the unique 3.5 km long tobogganing trail and enjoy it both during the day and on the evening hike from the Černá hora mountain.
Ski buses to the ski resorts leave from the adjacent car park about 2 minutes' walk from the apartments.
Summer
In the summer months, Janské Lázně offers a plenty of activities. Directly to the summit of Černá hora is the cable car Černohorský Expres. Here are lots of hiking or biking trails. At the lower station of the Černohorský Expres cable car you can rent mountain bikes and off-road scooters. Various outdoor activities are available - the Crown Trees trail, rope park, quad riding, horse riding, archery, tandem paragliding and more. The bike paths are running conveniently close to our apartment building.

Hiking
There is a large number of marked paths from Janské Lázně. You can start straight through the Krkonoše Mtn. promenade, which has many views, refreshments and is easily accessible by cable car. Other trips will take you to Sokolská bouda, Černá bouda, Lučiny, Pražská bouda, Liščí louka, Výrovka. You can go to Pec pod Sněžkou and go back by bus. On foot you can also discover the paths of the Černohorský peat bog, visit the spring of the Elbe and pass through many other mountain tours.

Crown Trees trail
The new Crown Trees trail is located in the heart of the Krkonoše National Park about 500 m from our apartments. Part of the trail is the educational center underground of the lookout tower. You will also find excellent snacks and delicacies of local cuisine. Educational stops are also the way to the top of the lookout tower. The way down you can shorten by 50 meters on a dry toboggan.
